Slight Surging

I have removed the air silencer and have K&N air filter, also pulling the magic mushroom fuse. My question is i have a light surge but it is to the good side equalling more power but not very smooth is there something some one can suggest to even out the power? I am just looking for a more linear power curve and of course we all know that the power band is around 3200 RPM up to 5000 then tapers off. I have removed the lower foglight blanks and covered them with mesh would it help if i ran a duct from this opening to the opening in the bottom of the air box? A small miney ram air effect. And would it be better to re pull the fuse after i made said mod?

well ram air doesnt occur till high speeds so that effect wont be possible, however you would supply outside air to the source, which would be good.

the light surge you have, might be the dual tuned intake manifold. down low the manifold uses one set of runners. up in the rpms, the second side of the manifold opens to allow more air flow and more power. its a relatively older way of keeping low end pull, but allowing upper rpm pull as well and making it efficient.

is that the surge you are speakin on?
