RE: Intake Silencer

Do i have an intake silencer on my 05 sxt Magnum??

If so how do i remove it??

Well, if I hadn't already removed mine (on an RT, but they are the same aren't they?) I'd put something like "removing intake silencer" in the search spot at the top of the screen, which gave me these results.

You'll like the change I'm sure!

Mine had to come out from the bottom, you pull the left wheel well back and remove one bolt. I found the info in the knowledge base

Ok, take the splash guard off of the front of the bottom-front of the car. It's held on by some push-clips. Look under where your stock intake is and you will find a bolt. 10mm I believe. It's pretty high up. Get a long extension and take out that bolt. After that just pull the whole silencer down and out. You should be done

That's what I did. I don't know what Weet is talking about. You have to remove it from underneath after removing the front shroud.

LOL....so if we were to just get rid of that big azz thing..how much weight am i losing and how much hp does it make?...or sound difference...and doesnt that square make a ram air sort of effect?

It's pretty light (hollow). Sounds only slighly different. No ram air effect with it installed. It's not in the air stream at all.
