    My beef with Hemi owners

Alright guys, here is your time to vent about the guys with the Hemi. It seems like regardless of what the topic is, engine mods or even body mods there is always someone that adds one of the following comments:
    "Shoulda got a hemi"
"Yeah, but does it have a hemi?"
    "Swap it for a Hemi"
Or some other ridiculous thing. Here is my 2 cents: I really enjoy cars in all shape or form; I enjoy working on cars albeit requires some $$$. The 3.5L has more than met my expectations for performance and I can handle the gas mileage. Also, the money I saved by going with the 3.5 instead of the 5.7/6.1 not to mention the monthly gas tally can go into having more fun with the car and doing more mods. Call me cheap, or whatever but I enjoy the Mag without the Hemi. Obviously we are all friends here and share a common passion, so dont take my griping the wrong way. Anyone have anything to add?

I've seen some Really B.A. V6's around. Custom painted, 22" Big Money wheels. When I think V6, I always think turbo-charger. Then again, that's what cruisin' around in a Buick GN back in the 80's did to me. I was blowin' away "average" Big Block, and "average" small block guys away like they only had a left foot.

    I think....

...all us Hemi people are saying is your grin would be going further North. And of course there is no greater word in the entire engine world....HEMI.
I enjoy seeing all of our rides.

This has always been an issue, since the birth of this forum. Some like the styling side. Some like the performance side.
There's only one bonus to having a Hemi. Speeding tickets!!! Plus you can compensate for a small shwank, if you have a Hemi!

Previous to my 05 Magnum 3.5, I had a Dodge Ram 2500 with a "HEMI". Yeah it was fast, but I have no complaints about down sizing to my 3.5!! My gas bill has dropped, and I can still get going pretty good!! No need to hate on the V-6's.

Amen to the speeding tickets and the Hemi helps with those of us with no shwank... not that I want one.

...now your saying the 6 cylinder can't get a speeding ticket.
I had the 6 for a rental before, and it has some punch considering the weight issue. Not bad at all.
BUTWEET quit telling , I thought I had the small thing covered by having this car!!!

The shwank ain't so bad. It's the two nuts he hangs around with, that cause the problems!

Hemi's get more tickets. Most V-6er's don't have the aggressive nature. That's why they don't need Hemi's.
Sorry about the size issue. Now go buy yourself a 426 with a blower!

I can feel your pain v6 guys. I had a '99 F150 with a 4.2L V6 and always took crap on the Ford Truck forums about upgrading to a 4.6 or 5.4L v8. You'll never catch me ragging on the 3.5L guys. Heck, I was just one day away from signing the papers for an AWD SXT w/9k mi for $18k...and then I found my '06 Magnum R/T RWD w/10k mi for $20k and jumped ship. Now if you were driving the 2.7L...well, then I would torment the hell outta ya.

And for the record my Hemi gets about 27 mpg cruising on the highway (which is where I do 95% of my driving), so having the man size engine hasn't affected my fuel costs. LOL...just funnin' with ya guys.

I had a 300M and now drive a Magnum R/T that I bought last Saturday. Holy smokes, no one needs that much power. But I will say... It's nice when passing or getting on the highway and not having to floor it - very smooth. After driving the 300M for 5 years, I didn’t think that motor could power the wagon. I do miss my 13 gallon tank and decent gas mileage.

I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic a few days ago for over an hour and my EVIC said I was averaging 8mpg!!!

    YIKES!

One final thought. My wife told me today that she had to get by a car and used "The Power". My three year old daughter doesn't like the car because "it's rude, it growls."
