    More power from the 3.5?

Hey I just picked up my SXT and I couldnt afford the hemi but I thought they rated the 3.5 around 250hp so I thought thatd be fine but just goofing off this thing wont do break stands/burnouts and can barely get loose around corners, I read something on an ESP mod but doesnt hitting the button on the center dash disable traction control, also, what are the best power mods for a 3.5?

I already got a sweet deal on the K&N intake that I couldnt pass up...I really want to get a nice sounding exhaust (deep tone, not really too loud) and I think I either want to get the Blastin Bobs or the Magnaflow system, any opinions on those, are there even any REAL power gains for a new exhaust?

Hammer and K&N aren't even close. You got a good deal on an inferior product. As far as exhaust goes, do a search. The topic has been discussed numerous times. Find some others with exhausts in your area and see which one sounds the best to you.

Here is my SXT with a Flowmaster 50, no resonator. I did a FM40 in the beginning and the drone was way bad. There was a thread here recently about putting the muffler where the resonator is and a striaght pipe where the muffler is.

I just recently put on an AirRaid system and will be taking her out with the DashHawk and seeing if there is any improvement over the previous setup of the Dynomax muffler.

Well I saw that the Hammer was $350 from that thread and it might be a little better than the K&N but dont know if its going to be worth DOUBLE the price,I am going to be installing and dyno Tues at my buddies shop I will tell you the REAL gains from my K&N..

KandN works just fine for me and others. I wish everybody would get off the jock of this hammer.

to play devils advocate for a little bit here dodgerla since i have neither the hammer h.o nor the k&n, but if you do some research, you will see that the hammer h.o. had the best gains of any of the competition. nevermind the fact that the beloved Rev.Hammer is a great person, and a little product bumping for him and his crew never hurt anything. if you like your k&n so be it, but i wouldnt sh*t on another product because of the price difference. i think the quote is "you have to pay to play" or something like that.

My357, sounds like you got a good deal on your k&n bro, and i can understand not wanting to pay more for another CAI. but if you do want the MOST bang for ya buck, the hammer has been proven to be the way to go. Not saying that the k&n is bad, just saying that the hammer is better.

The AirHammer HO has dyno numbers to back it up. It looks great. It sounds great. Why on earth would people talk about it?

Someone asks about more power from the 3.5L and others are answering. I think dual Zoomers with an X pipe are the best exhaust system for the 3.5L.

    You put pompoms on?
    Dude!
But seriously, It looks like you've done most of the mods available for the somewhat warranteed 3.5 and I expect with pretty favourable results. As someone who just purchased an SXT, and looking for a unobtrusive, aurally pleasing and performance enhancing mod the HammerHO is probably the best bang for the buck and for total ease of installation. If I could afford the header install & 'puter enhancement etc yeah I'd probably go for that too. I have used a K&N kit on one of my trucks, (yeah I know different beast altogether) but nowhere near the impact of the HO. Honestly no hostility.
