    more hp???

Blastin bobs has a single resonator kit i believe its just for sound is there any other mods that you could do with this kit to to the stock system to gain more hp other than just geeting a full catback system for the 3.5l

OK.... i suggest you save your money and get the Diablo tuner when/if it comes out.
Adding a single reso or dual reso kit 'might' give you a bit over low end torque, it will definately make your car louder (which is the goal anyway by doing that). A full cat back system will give you a 'small' (if any) increase in hp again more effecting torque. A cold air intake (?) the jury is still out on that one. I for one am still waiting on real dyno numbers for before, after, and 6 months after a cold air intake is installed to see if the increases hold or not.
So if ultimately you want more real hp you have a couple options

1 - trade your 3.5 in for a hemi or srt (which defeats the reason you likely bought the 3.5)

2 - wait for a real tuner to come out for the 3.5 - ie. Diablo

3 - be satisfied with what you have and just mod the heck out of a beautiful car and make it more of a head turner!!

btw... theres tonnes of reading on this site about these very topics!

why would you need to wait 6 months to "see if the hp holds"....

are you planning on cleaning the filter as well? just by logic, in 6 months the filter will have gained dirt and debris and flows less.

realistically. if you gain hp when you add it. it sticks. it takes the computer at most maybe 30 min of solid driving to fully adjust. most gains will be evident immediately. theres no need to wait a week, or 6 months to see if something stays the same, as it will not unless you recreate the variables of when things were new.

dont mean to offend, brah...but the 6 months thing just doesnt hold much logic, unless theres some special reasoning you may have.

FOr the original poster, there are a few options, quite a few actually.

familiarize yourself with basic boltons... intake exhaust headers are usually referred to as the "three amigos" in most performance tuner circles.

pulleys throttle bodies arent an option currently, but still an option for custom. i'm trying to negotiate with someone from my last forum on the pulley.

as long as you dont mess up the current design when you go aftermarket and do something extreme, you will gain HP and TQ simultaneously. some parts will gain more of one than the other. however if you find that you lose one while gaining the other, personally i view that as detuning the car. performance parts, especially when you pay hundreds of dollars should add on both sides of the spectrum.

with exhaust, if you want to keep or possibly add low end power, keep the exhaust flow high. doesnt really matter if its single or dual. high velocity exhaust help the scavenging effect, thus keeping low end. when you read of exhausts costing low end, its because the design, pipe size, or mufflers, and sometimes even bad welding jobs ....have slowed the exhaust flow.

def shoot for the tuner..... and there are no chips for this car. there is a module and it has consistently shown to lose HP on dynos...although it gains TQ, when it boils down to it.... hp is what accelerates the car, TQ is used to initially start moving the wheels. usually farm tractors and offroad rock climbers are the poster childs for more TQ than HP.

If you did the Airhammer H.O. and a dual conversion, you could expect to see MAYBE 20 hp peak gain, assuming it behaves similarly to the other engines (which it should since it's running on similar software). Power is not really the best reason to spend the money on an exhaust. One thing it will do is allow the engine to make more power later if you decide to spray or someone develops internal mods.

but usually when you increase the efficiency of the engine, power is a side product. its like a human athlete. if it breathes better, it performs better.

Yeah I don't know where some people get the idea that a cat-back won't provide any decent gains.

I've written this a bunch of times. You want an exhaust that provides gains, get an Exhaust Depot Mandrel bent, True-dual, x-pipe exhaust. Check them out on exhaustdepot.com. I have the system and the dyno showed about a 10rwhp, 12tq gain.
