magnum sxt clicking when the key is turned

we have an 05 magnum sxt, 38k miles on it. i noticed today that upon startup, during the whine of the fuel pump, there is some clicking noise from somewhere under the hood. sounds like a relay or something clicking a few times. vehicle starts and runs just like it always had, i just never noticed it before.

about a month ago, i did install a fog light kit, but havent brought it to the dealer to get the foglights working. could this be the reason for the clicking noise?

That's the electronic throttle going through it's self test. Take off the air cleaner to throttle body tube and have someone turn the key on while watching the throttle plate. There's your noise.

Thats is quite correct. i have that noise as well..

My SXT always did that too. Did you recently put a CAI on it? If so that could be why you hear it now.

i cant believe we have owned the car for 3+ years and i never noticed that sound. im just more used to driving my magnum rt (ill have to pay attention to see if it makes the same noise).
