    Low Oil Pressure

    Anyone have any problems with the Low Oil Pressure light coming on. This only happens when I am stopping or turning. I checked the oil level and it was a little low. I topped it off and test drove but it still comes on. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    edit: forgot to mention no noises or anything like that.

    Well, you've done what I would have suggested so lets assume there is an oil pressure problem. Has there been any recent work done on the engine? If not best to get looked at by a mechanic. It might be a sensor/wiring problem, but it may be the sensor indicating its low oil condition for a reason. Not something Id let go.

    ^^^ Thanks for the info. I have not driven the car since Friday, except to the shop last night. Having the pressure checked and going from there. Someone on CM said they have the same problem in their V8 and it turned out to be the Oil Sending Unit.

    **Update** Low Oil Pressure

    Well I picked the car up last night from the shop and so far so good. I had them check the oil pressure at idle at that was normal (around 10-15). It appears that it was a combination of a Oil Sending Unit going bad (leaking from the center) and a bad oil filter. The cost was right around $100 to fix so I am very happy with that. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the issue does not return.
