    Intake question

I have an aftermarket CAI with a K&N filter. I would get the typical sucking sound when I step on the gas. Last weekend I cleaned the throttle body and the upper air intake. Got everything put back on and the car runs fine. I don't feel any horsepower loss or performance issues, but now my CAI doesn't have that signature sucking sound anymore. Any ideas?

I never noticed a "sucking" sound when I had my AIRAID CAI.......All I noticed was a nice growl, and whistling sound at speed............

Sucking sound...you could consider it a whistling sound.

Kinda...When you're driving and just before the trans, shifts to the next gear you could hear the intake suking in air making a sorta whistling sound, but now I hear nothing.

I don't know, but personally I'd prefer to hear my exhaust rather than my intake.
2005 Magnum SXT: Fiberglass Hood, smoked LED tail lights, billet grille, Airaid CAI, Magnaflow Cat-Back, Polk Audio speakers, BT Catch Can, Debadged, Demolded, Predator 89 Tune, Ported & polished lower manifold, TB, and Jet Coated valve covers, front & rear R/T sway bars, longtube headers

To Do Still: tint the front windows, wheels and rubber, and 1 MAJOR build going on right now...stay tuned...

Truly, should be the same sound after a cleaning.
My K&N,, I could hear it just fine before I put on my Magnaflow. Now I can't hear it much.
It used to sound like the old open element air cleaners we all used to put on our hot rods.
Kinda like a high pitched whine/howl when you stomped on it, quiet otherwise.
You shouldn't be getting a "whistle",,, that would tell me you've got a leak somewhere.

Just throwing some general questions out,,,, Did you get the TB back on properly and evenly torqued?, the Mass air flow sensor and it's grommet back in correctly?, the clamps all even and NOT overtightened?, when I first put mine on, I did that and it deformed the plastic somewhat..
