    Identify engine clacking/ticking?

Hey guys. I'm hearing clacking/ticking noises. Can you help me identify the noise and determine if it's serious/common/etc?

    2008 Magnum SXT (3.5L obviously).

Below are two movie links. Hope I did it right.

    Front end - Hood up

    From passenger side wheel

    Thanks

Nope, neither file would play for me. Maybe someone else can get it to play and help.

Figured out how to get it onto YouTube. Says it's still being processed so they should be live soon.

Have you checked the oil level recently??? I know on a couple prior vehicles I owned when the oil level got down to a certain level, the valve train would clatter/tick...........

Yep. That was the first thing I checked. Oil level is good.

Anyone on the forum work at any Maryland/VA area dealer? Previous experience at the local dealer has never been great.

The noise the OP made is what my car sounds like all the time. It would sound like that when it was warm outside as well. I used to worry about it, but I don't anymore. When it's REALLY cold, that knocking gets louder but still goes away once the engine warms up. I think you're fine. These aren't super quiet engines from my POV and the car makes so many different noises anyway, I just stopped worrying and make sure I do regular oil changes.
3.5 - Gone but never forgotten. Everything would be cheaper if we didn't complain about everything so much...

    K. I just want to make sure it's not something that may eventually lead to bigger problems down the road since the noise isn't going away as the engine warms up. The reason I was worrying more was because I have another '08 SXT in the driveway and that one still sounds silky smooth. About the only difference between the two is that it has about 10k less miles (25k vs 15k).

I'm a stickler when it comes to maintenance. Even more so when it's stuff I can do myself. Oil changes, filters, tire rotations, cooling system, etc.

Took it into the dealer and left it with them to check out a few weeks ago and of course they "didn't hear anything".

Took it back again today with recording of sound in hand. They're going to replacing rocker arm under warranty.

Now just waiting for part to come in so they can do the replacement. I think I'm going through withdrawal :( Hopefully will have it back Friday.

Why did I open this thread?!
My 300 makes exactly the same noise, I've had it at the dealership twice for other things and asked them to take a look at it for this noise and both times they said it was just normal injector noise (when it is clearly a very different sound and timing) and if I bring it back again they will charge me a diagnostic fee to tell me the same thing.
