    Hammer HO question(s)

First question... there seems to be a fit issue in some cars. I'm in a Charger, is the air filter's end gonna be snug against my car ? Ideally it has some space as the engine (and by all the pics the Airhammer HO) are on engine mounts and then there is the frame... they should not be touching, right ? Worst thing I could imagine is rubbing raw a hole in the filter.

Also... does this mean the intake tube has to be removed to replace or clean the filter ? Ya, it's an annual thing or whatever, but it seems like a pain to have to remove the whole intake tube to get to the filter.

Finally... it's been said it's a custom-made filter. Does that mean a replacement (if ever needed) is only available through Hammer Automotive ? If so, how much ?

Clearly I'm quite interested in replacing my AirAid CAI with the Airhammer HO... but I just want to check these things before I start squirreling away the coin

There is no fit problem with the AIRHAMMER H.O., some people were unsure on the correct alignment but we quiclky contaceted those customers and described the correct fitament.

Yes you should remove and clean the AIRHAMMER interior at least once a year and it will need to be removed in order to remove the filter but it is extremely easy to do so.

It is Custom designed by HAMMER AUTOMOTIVE and built for us by A.F.E. (Advanced Flow Engineering) They do however carry this as a stock item and can also be ordered directly from A.F.E...

How can it be custom designed by Hammer Automotive if AFE carries it as a stock item? Now thats funny right there.

    1. By making the filter proprietary to us would have cost us much more money so we agreed to allow A.F.E. to sell the filter as well, if they choose to do so in the future. this also allows us to provide a secondary distribution method for our customers in the future.

2.) "Stock" means they have the specifications as a part of there build library not that they actively sell or distribute these filters.
