    Exhaust Expert Opinions Please

Well since the winter is coming been thinking of a new project "Change my Exhaust for the 3rd Time" LOL yeah i know. here is 2 pictures one of the current setup and one of a custom magnaflow setup. My concern is that i may loose too much back pressure with the magnaflow setup as the current RT suitcase is a 3 stage (or 3 Chamber). Let me know what ya all think im open to any options !!!!

    Thanks Everyone

    Here is my current setup

Here is the Magnaflow setup im mulling over

PS im also thinking about JBA shorties as well for the same time i change my exhaust for the last time...

Sounds good... but i want a more deep rumble but not over powering like the flowmasters... and keeping the drown down & the back pressure up is key !!! here is a video i made when i put that RT exhaust on...

    Video upgraded exhaust

that sounds good,I was told if you keep your factory cats, that really helps retain most of the back pressure.I put the srt exhaust from a super bee on mine with my cats and still have low end power
didn't notice any loss ( I would still wait for an expert to chime in tho)lol....I love having duals!!

Here's mine that we just did this week:

    - X-Pipe
    - Flowmaster 44's (2 each)
    - 3" tips

ZERO loss in back pressure and next to no cabin drone.

I'm getting ready to have the rear reso's deleted off of my R/T system. I've been told that it sounds pretty good, so hopefully my taking a chance here isn't going to bite me in the ass.

I run a Dual set up that came off of a SuperBee as well.......

Stock 3.5L Cats....2.5" piping with the "X" Pipe...... 2-Flowmaster 44 series mufflers, and SRT8 tips.........It as a free system and cost me $100.00 Cdn to have it installed.........

It is loud, and there is drone, but it doesn't bother me that much......(Ex-Harley Rider....)........plus I can turn up the volume................since the Magnum is a open cabin right back to the lift gate and doesn't have a seperate trunk to dull the drone, I may do some Dynomat on the rear floor area under the spare tire........

I get a LOT of compliments on how my exhaust sounds..........I have had Hemi owners tell me my V6 sounds more like a V8 then their V8!!!!

I was thinking just doing the same with 2 Magnaflows, then i was trying to find the small mufflers for the rear that come with the 3.5 kit from magnaflow. called them on it and apparently they dont sell them by their selves....

I have this kit:The center muffler has a "perforated x-pipe core" so it is essentially an 'x' pipe with a little sound dedening to it. It has the mufflers at the tips and is all 2.25" pipe.

    http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=all&id=2321

I ran before/after dyno pulls and gained around 8-10Hp from 4000RPM up but have no results for anything below that. I personally feel some low end torque was lost but not a whole lot to worry about.

Oh and most importantly this kit is highly overpriced and makes my car sound like a freaking Honda Civic. Certainly not what I expected from a Magnaflow kit and I will be replacing it soon with out a doubt.

Since I installed the RT exhaust on my 3.5 and then experimented with removing the suitcase muffler, I have discovered that when loud true duals sound like a ricer on the v6. I have listened to countless clips of v6s from every manufacturer and they all sound ricey. Then I set out to listen to the clips of those running a single exhaust to dual tips and discovered a much deeper note. But maybe that is the ticket here. You must dump at least 4 cylinders into one muffler or it sounds like a Honda. This should also solve my loss of low end over my current RT configuration. What do you think?
