    Cool Completion of Intake Modifications

    Group,
I have gotten my throttle body back from the machine shop, and we are in the process of installing it. This will complete the Stage 1 Modification package. We now have a 70mm TB with a new Intake duct (from a GM variant I found in the junkyard) This all should allow air to flow much more freely, and give the car a bit more punch.

    Stage 1 comprises of:
    K&N FIPKII
    70MM Throttle Body
Smoothed out Intake Elbow (GM part)
    Dual Exhaust

This along with the UD pulley, and the Police Package Alternator, shoudl in theory propel the car near, or into the 14's. Racing will begin for us in 3-4 weeks. The only item we are waiting for to complete the Stage 2 mods is the cooling fan switch.

    Stage 2 comprises of:
Cinci Ghetto Racing 160* UltraStat prototype
ASP Underdrive Pulley (26% Crank Pulley Underdrive)
02-04 Intrepid Police Package 160A Alternator
Cinci Ghetto Racing Cooling Fan Switch (waiting for part to install)

Once the car gets the LX manifolds installed, we will be in new terriitory. We are hoping that we will solidly be in the 14's prior to the heads being installed in December (pending completion)

Here are the pictures I took of the elbow, and TB
(note the GM part number on the elbow, this could be a useful mod for anyone looking for a smooth, wide open elbow)

Here are pics of the TB:

    Whaddya think??

PS, yes I was at the McDonalds drive-thru while I took, and sent these pictures to myself. Shows you how slow they were!!

Well cool, but what kind of car are you putting this on??.

Excuse the odd ball question. But on a LX if you don't give Hal the throttle position sensor feedback and the correct MAP sensor reading. He'll slap you like a...............................................oo ps, sorry, I'll get in trouble for saying that.

Any thought of a taste of juice? 100 shot would be interesting, just skip right to the mid 13's, forget about the 14's.
