    compatible 5.7 parts

    So far we know the 5.7 exhaust will bolt up to the 3.5. Now from doing some reading it seems that the 3.5 can maybe use a torque converter built for the 5.7 and the srt 8 injectors. What the 3.5 can benefit from these who knows, but its good to know for later on down the road. Any input?

    Well, I would think that injectors wouldn't matter too much, I don't think we have any problems getting enough fuel. The torque converter on the other hand might do a world of good if it lets us get the RPMs up higher for the launch. I know that I could launch a LOT harder on my street tires before I started spinning.

    The torque converter is only compatible if you have the same transmission...

    that means, you need a 5-speed. in that case, you will also have to spec a significantly higher stall.... a 3200 rpm stall on a 6.1L car will only stall in the low 2000's on the 3.5... as stall is a direct relationship to torque.

    Injectors will only be useful if you are doing something to significantly increase the amount of air your engine can use... so, Stroker, Nitrous, Turbo, Supercharger.... maybe cams.


    Some of the BEST bang for the buck mods involve common platform things: big brakes, light-weight wheels, and Nitrous.

    My thoughts are the srt injectors may be helpfull with a predator/head/cam combo. As for the torque converter I do have the same 5 speed transmission.

    So is there anyway to figure out what stall we would need to spec to get say, a 2500stall?

    I think its protorque that has a sheet you fill out with your specs and theyll tell you what converter to use. If not that one its one of the companys that offer a converter for the hemi.

    I have the 4 spd tranny and I think I'm gettng about 2300 now. I'd love to get 2800 but I think the ultimate power mod would be lower rear gears. Nothing will beat that for getting these heavy cars moving faster.

    I beleive diablo is working on a feature for the hemi tuner to alloy for gear changes hopefully the 6 will get the same.
