    Car Problem ???

Hey all, my 05 300 Touring is beginning to give me some wierd symptoms. This all started after I had my car parked for about a month this past summer. I got in the car after letting it sit, started it up let it idle for a bit and then proceeded to drive. I got going about 30 and I got a shudder which seemed like the tranny. I let off the gas and it went away. Now more recently within the past month these cooler mornings it is getting worse. The other day while driving at about 15 down a side street the car all of a sudden shuddered and then sped up (kinda like it down shifted) I let off the gas and it went away. This morning I was again accelerating slowly around 15 again and got that same shudder. Held the gas in the same postition and the car would down shift and speed up then shudder again and kept repeating itself. I let off the gas tried it again and same thing. I pressed on the gas harder and it accelerated quik. I got to work pulled into the parking spot and the car now sounded like it had a knock to the engine.. let it idle and it kept doing it.. I shut the car off and then restarted it and it was no longer there. Has anyone else experianced anything like this with there car??? Please help me out. I know if I take it to the dealership it wont do it. LOL Thanks in advanced.

Ok I did a search and found a TSB for a NAG1 tansmission sudder. But that seems to be at higher speeds. Mine is all at lower speeds. Still could be the problem I guess. Just thought I would update

Is your 05 Touring AWD? If not, you don't have the NAG1 you have the 42LE transmission.

Thank you for that info.. Your correct it is a 42LE.. Still I get this shudder, almost like what the NAG1 TSB is stating.. Anyways, like I said I will let you know tomorrow.

Got the car back today. There was a TSB on it for them to flash the transmission module to update the shift points. But they also found that my entire steering gearbox was bad.. So that also got replaced. Thank gosh for the extended warranty. Saved me $1500 today..

Glad you got it straight. But how did a shifting problem lead them to find a bad steering rack?

I was having them do a oil change on it also. While under there they noticed a leak from the steering gear box and Well apparently they have to change that entire section. So I got the steering rack, inner and outer tierods done also..
