Want to upgrade to new rotors and pads....are slotted/drilled worth it for a v6.
What brands are the best and do I need to get new calipers then too!
I run 22x10 all around and need some better braking...any recommendations would be great!!!

unless you plan on going back to 17" wheels, i'd be looking at getting someone's RT take offs. a few of them are upgrading to SRT Brembos and may want to sell their RT setups.
good luck.
Izzy picsmoney talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"
I went with slotted/dimpled rotors mainly for the look haha I went with EBC brand as well with EBC ceramic pads and just kept the stock calipers. It's hard to say exactly how much they have improved over stock (if any) but I have no issues with stopping power.
R1 concepts is another brand I hear a lot of good things about and are slightly less expensive than EBC.
And as mentioned above you can go with the R/T brakes and may be able to get them pretty cheap. That should give you far better improvemnts over a simple rotor/pad replacement.

KW V1 Coil Overs, Hotchkis Front & Rear Sway Bars, 22" Hipnotic 360* Rims, 265/35/22 Hankook Ventus ST Tires, EBC Drilled & Dimpled Rotors, Yellow Painted Calipers, Demoulded/ Debadged/ BT Rear Wing, Tinted Tail Lights, OEM Foglights, Diablo Predator, Air Hammer HO, Magnaflow Catback Dual Exhaust, Ported/Polished TB/LIM, Charger SRT Rear Diffuser, SRT Honeycomb Grill/ Lower Grill/ Fog Bezels, 3.5"/6.5"/6"x9" Infinity Kappa Speakers, 2x12" Infinity Kappa Subs, 500/1 & 300/4 JL Amps, Alpine Deck, Custom Hardwood Cargofloor & Matching Sub Box.
RT Calipers offer you better stopping power in the front (bigger is better).
At the rear, you will see an improvement, as the rotors are vented, instead of a solid steel rotor.
I helped BlackMagnum06 (formerly BlackChargum) upgrade from SXT to RT Brakes. It took all of a couple of hours and was a very easy mod. Well worth the $$$ for a nice set of take-off's and improved stopping power![]()

Just do the RT take offs, you'll be happy you did. Also remember that drilled rotors are a visual mod only, and can even lead to cracking. Get them if you wish, just know ahead that drilling holes in the rotors makes the brakes slightly less effective as well as less heat tolorant.

Yeah, i'd stay away from drilled. If you want looks as well as maybe a little more stopping power you can go slotted. That is what I have.

I'd say go with the drilled/slotted discs. You really can't go wrong, especially if you're going to do more performance upgrades to the engine. I've been looking at some, but I'm holding out for a while longer.
Mods: Big Bully/Spectre Cold Air Intake; R/T Exhaust;JDM Headlights; SRT Sways; Tinted Windows;Boston Accoustic Speakers and 10" sub, Crunch 500 watt power amp; KW V1 Suspension/Coilovers; Predator Tune; Fog Lights; 71mm TB and lower intake; HoneyComb grille; JBA Headers.
Thanks everyone....Now I just need to find someone with RT brakes!!!
As for drilled rotors, I saw recently one of the guys in our club put on new rotors that werent drilled all the way through...like dimples!!!
I have Hawk pads on my otherwise stock brake setup. Pretty noticeable improvement over stock. The RT brake route is by far the cheapest way so long as your fine with running 18"+ wheels. Personally, I'm just waiting for the day I come across a good cheap set of Brembos or I win the lottery and buy the Ksport 8-pot setup.
Starting over with a new Magnum RT (SRT8 Conversion)... 6.1L with SRT Max Cam, Corsa catback with chambered center pipes, Sinister Extreme dual ram intake system, SRT Suspension, silver Brembos, graphite powder coated Charger SRT wheels, frost white intake manifold (ported) and valve covers, matte black engine bay, carbon fiber engine accents, 300C SRT8 Front end, Matte White vinyl wrap, Black Ops 300-Challenger style carbon fiber hood. I would go with a R/T setup vs. upgrading the rotors on the V6. Depending on the deal you get R/T brakes can be cheaper and way better inprovement than new rotors. Keep your eyes peeled there out there.

i will be upgrading my R/T's to silver brembo's in couple weeks,if u are still looking.i painted them red s month after i bought the car.i am waiting on stop tech brake lines to have the front complete,i am looking for rear knuckles to have the rear complete
2007 Charger Road & Track R/T
are the R/T calipers a direct bolt on for the se and sxt models? They don't require different knuckles as well do they, like the srt upgrade? If J12 300 isn't intrested, send me a pm on what you'd want for the calipers. I'd prolly be intrested.
The R/T calipers (front and rear) bolt right on. One word of advice... While you are opening up the system, buy yourself a new set of hoses to go with the install.
Additionally, you will need new rotors for the rear, as they are vented on the R/T and non-vented on the SE/SXT line (meaning they are wider, as the non-vented rotors are a thick, single rotor).
I suggest going with the NAPA Premium rotors (front).
...and the NAPA Premium rotors (rear).
They also carry Performance rotors (slotted and dimpled), and Ultra Premium rotors (which are not drilled or slotted).
Give them a look-see at: napaonline.com
Hope this helps,
Bob
