Anyone have the AFE air intake ?

I have been wanting to buy a air intake for my 3.5
been looking around and comparing products & prices
At $165 (shipping incl.) the AFE looks like the best bang for buck too me.

Does anyone on here have this setup ?
Or know of a better price somewhere else ?

This is where I am thinking of ordering from http://www.autoanything.com/air-filt...0A2601511.aspx

So if anyone has any good, or bad, feedback about this vender I would appretiate hearing that also

That's the intake I have and I feel it is the best "bang for the buck." Not too loud either. Totally happy with mine

    1. Thanks for showing me that website
    2. I don't have a CAI yet, but I've been researching a couple, If what he says is true, I don't know if I would want that one. I am looking for a louder sound.

Hopefully some other members can put in their .02 in

The real benefit comes from easier breathing, not the intake howl. Mine might be louder than I think, but I've got a set of mufflers screamin' out the back. The two Kicker 12's don't help the situation either. If you're just looking for the louder noise, get a $30 FleaBay special.
Good lookin' Charger by the way

The performance gain is important too - Also want one that will last awhile - Also want one that will work well with a functional ram-air hood *one day*
The reviews on the website, were almost all positive
What kind of CAI do you have Sneekyfast?
    Thanks

I have the AFE Stage-1 intake. They don't make a Stage-2 for the V-6's. It is definately well worth the money. Make sure you remove the silencer underneath as well. You will notice plenty of seat-'o-the-pants gain when you do. Good luck with whatever you do. There's a ton of knowledge on this forum. See ya'

There is no performance gain from a CAI alone. It don't matter what intake you get. If you want performance increase you need to add free flowing exhaust and either a chip or a flash.

What ^ said. Your engine is nothing more than an air-pump. Even when you add free-flowing exhaust, along with your CAI, you are simply allowing the air-pump to breathe easier. So, in all actuality, you have merely allowed the horse-pressures access to the free world. In other words, you loosened the hold on your "free" power that Dodge tried to contain In order to actually increase power, you must increase cylinder pressure. Of course that's an entirely new subject. C'ya

I already have full dual flowmaster exhaust, and the Jet II chip, the CAI is my next step.
I really like the Airhammer, it looks badazz !!!
But at more than twice as much $$$ I would like to see some PROOF that it has any benefit over the AFE.
Side by side Dyno tests between the 2 would be great

That test was done at MOFO5. The AFE and the Airhammer both showed improved HP, but the Airhammer showed more. I think the mild steel AH is now around $300. The Polished Stainless is quite a bit more, but oh so pretty.

I think the test was done on the Hemi, I would like to see the same type of comparison done on the 3.5 versions. Since the engines & intakes are so different from each other.

Last I saw the AH was around $350 + shipping for the 3.5
The AFE is about $165 total.
I suspect the AH might be a better product, but for $200 more I would like to see Dyno results to see how much better.

Mannyhernz: Go aftermarket for exhaust .

Sneekyfast: Can you post some Pics of your installed AFE PLEASE !!!!

Ooops, missed the 3.5 data. The AH has been dynoed and showed improvment. I am not aware of any dyno done by a member with the AFE on the 3.5.
