Anyone able to peel their tires with their 3.5L SXT Magnum??

Has anyone been able to do this and with what kind of mods?

Wet pavement does not count!!! Although it is fun on a rainy day, you can get her sideways pretty good... too bad there is not enough HP to do it on dry pavement.

I tried the driving and turning the key to start, that was mentioned on the boards here. It worked the BAS light and the Squiggles came on. But unfortunatly unless you have some wet pavement for the SXT I wasn't able to tell if the ESP was fully off.

Anyways enough yappin.....Its great to see our own lil section on a forum board..

    Cheers

After I put on a CAI and took the muffler off, my 3.5 will get it without a problem (wet or dry)

I can smoke them with 20's...just choose not to waste the expensive rubber! When I put the stockers on for the winter I plan on doing some video

I have an '06 Charger SXT. My only performance mod is a Dynomax dual exhaust. I live in Southern California's "inland empire", so I don't even know what "wet pavement" means

Before the exhaust I could chirp the tires or even get a decent squeal, but with the duals I can light them up pretty much any time. I have to agree with Paradog, though, rubber's too expensive to waste...

All I get when I floor it is a lag. This has to be the thing I hate the most about the car. Has anyone also experienced the lag or is it just my car. I always thought something is wrong. For 250 HP I should be able to peel out anytime.

These are heavy cars, and from my experience with the RT (5.7L) it was difficult if not impossible to break the tires loose -- type of pavement is a big factor.

From your opening post, you say you have an AWD:

With an AWD (either 5.7L or 3.5L) I would expect it would be almost impossible to break the tires loose -- you have 4 tires grabbing at the same time.

Your expectations are way too high!
