With the help of some people I know and some people I have never met in person, I am almost done with this conversion. Just Wanted to Thank Jon in Fla and Jon in Cal and tony in Chi and anybody else that gave me encouragement or advice. All the hard parts are installed. The tcm and auto stick shifter are installed, programmed and functioning (thanks again tony). I sent all my tcm and shifter plugs to audiobyjon in cal who was kind enough to build me a correct tcm harness with the needed zener diode. I had a buddy with a small shop by me remove all the 4spd stuff and replace it with the 5spd stuff. The car will not start with the current 4spd pcm. I installed the correct 5spd pcm and the car would start then shut off. damn security stuff. I will tow the car to the dealer and have them match my vin and security code and mileage to the new 5spd pcm fri. This swap is huge, I would never have started it without blowing up two 4spd transmissions under 10,000 miles. of course it all started after adding a turbo and an high stall to a transmission unable to handle over 300hp. Here are a few pics for anyone interested.

Well done!
Are you going to put it on the dyno?If so I would love to see the numbers.
TIDALWAVE
Damn I was hoping you were going to say it was pretty strait forward and easy. I had no idea you had to change the oil pan. What was that all about? I knew you had to change: TCM, PCM, Tranny, Drive shaft, some wiring harness, shifter.
Tinted glass, Cut front springs 1 1/4",
AirHammer HO, Duel Flowmaster 40s, De-molded,
Sonar LED Tails, Flat black honeycomb grille,
18" RT wheels & 245/45, No ESP Mod, Predator,
Innovate WB A/F guage, Ported Lower Intake.
dealer had no problem matching vin and security pin. drove it up a trailer and brought it back home. tucked back in the garage until the roads clear. the auto shifter is functioning in all gears and displaying properly on the evic. can't wait to test her out. I will be putting it on a dyno in the spring I'm sure. It's nice to have one of only 10 2009 v6 5spds.
Congrats--I'm sure you can't wait to get it out and 'test it out'. Safely...on a dyno....or a track....of course![]()

How does the tune work in this case, has it been tweaked to take into account a rear gear that was never offered with that tranny?
Sweet! Hope to see it tooling around the streets this spring![]()

I am not a tuner so I'm not sure how that works? I changed the axle ratio to 3:90 using the predator. Since I had to put in a different pcm for a 5spd, I sent my old tune and new stock tune to Johan to be matched. He did this so I could get it back home from the dealer. (thanks again Johan) I will data log when I get the chance and make sure all is well.
The 4 speed cars have 3.64 rear gears so why did you change it to 3.90 in the preditor?
Where do you have your turbo mounted? Amd congrats on the swap
I had replaced my 3:64 with a 3:90 right after I bought my car. It helped with the 20" chrome clads I had put on. If I could have seen into the future I would have left it in. The 3:90 however makes this turbo spool up very quickly. I am still getting over 20 mpg's while having way more fun. Not even close to the same car as before the turbo. The rpm is at 2600 at 70mph...may switch to a lower ratio in the future??? I could never floor my car with the 4spd. It would always shift weird. I have put 1000 miles on this 5spd without a hiccup from this tranny. for people that want to put forced induction on a 4spd......1) don't put a stall converter on. 2) don't go over 300rwhp. 3)pray. 4) save up for a 5spd. I know several people that have run around 280-300rwhp and did not ruin there transmission. I had a high stall and over 300hp...bad combo for the 4spd....

Your post count may not be high enough. Although, I thought you could post links after 10 posts...
Very cool swap! Looking forward to more pics/videos!
How much did it cost?
