maintenance schedule says 175,000 km. i wouldn't push it that far so i'll be replacing mine at 150,000 km. i also suggest you replace the water pump at the same time.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"

Anyone know how much $$$ (USD) it cost to have the Belt & water pump replaced on the 3.5L? How much labor time wise is involved? My Magnum has almost 86k on it so it won't be long before I hit the 100k mark. Before the end of the year definately. I know the manual says 105k, but I always do the maintenance a little sooner than what the manual says. Preventive medicine and all that....

can't give you US prices but you can approximate from these canadian prices or call your dealer to check prices.

    timing belt P/N 4792353 $220.00 cad.
    belt tensioner P/N 4892109AA $184.00 cad.
    water pump P/N 4792968AD $113.00 cad.
    water pump O-ring seal P/N 4792982AA $14.75 cad.

expect to pay anywhere from 3-6 hours labour, depending on the shop.

Honestly the only real challenging part about the whole job is getting the timing right while working the belt on and everything. The rest of the job is as simple as unbolting stuff.
Starting over with a new Magnum RT (SRT8 Conversion)... 6.1L with SRT Max Cam, Corsa catback with chambered center pipes, Sinister Extreme dual ram intake system, SRT Suspension, silver Brembos, graphite powder coated Charger SRT wheels, frost white intake manifold (ported) and valve covers, matte black engine bay, carbon fiber engine accents, 300C SRT8 Front end, Matte White vinyl wrap, Black Ops 300-Challenger style carbon fiber hood. Project "SnoMachine" all work performed by Arizona Hemi Specialists - Plum Floored Creations, Mopar Automotive Photography

Yeah I'd do it myself if I had the time and a place (ie. a garage)to do it in. Unfortunately I live in an apartment complex that doesn't want you working on cars in the parking lot and it's winter here, so I'm screwed both ways. Geez I remember when I used to change the timing belt on my Dodge Aries K-car station wagon with the 2.2L . Just had to unbolt one of the engine mounts on the right side of the engine, pull off the plastic cover, unbolt the camshaft pulley, and pull the belt off. To install, just do the reverse making sure the timing marks on the camshaft pulley were aligned and it was done. I don't think there was even a tensioner on those. Those 2.2L's had to be one of the simplest engines to work on!
