I dunno why the even call them cold air intakes when they suck air from under the hood. Wouldnt a stock airbox be considered a real cold air intake since it sucks air from outside the engine bay?

Neet how the tube goes down thru the stock cold air hole for the stock airbox. This would make it a true cold air intake in my opinion. let us know how it works. I may get one too. I read on LXforums once about a concern someone had about an intake like this where it goes down and sucks air from behind the inner wheel well, and how the concern was the intake sucking water and other garbage up, and even the filter icing over in winter. I cant see how this area would get so wet and dirty since its protected by the inner wheel well plastic and the plastic under belly pan.

i have had my air filter down in that area for over three years with out a problem. my filter right now is right behind my license plate and i am more worried about it now then i ever was when it was behind the fender liner area.

Yeah but for almost half the price he is getting a CAI. Besides, I have yet to see any dyno numbers on the big Bully intake. Not to say that CAI has any proven dyno numbers but he is spending less.

I had a CAI routed through the fender in my old car. I sucked in water many times. I blew an engine one of those times unfortunately. But then again, I do live in Miami where it rains almost every day in the summer. Streets get flooded.
