    Torque converter help!!!!!!!!!!!!

My check engine came on. I had it looked at when we had the meet in HB. I was told the code was P700. I went to the dealer today and he said it is the torque converter and just to get to the part is a grand. My real issue is that the car is running great. Should I just drive it till it becomes an issue or do I get it fixed ASAP? I just called a second dealer and he said it can be a faulty code to come and scan it but to pay another 100 bucks to hear the same crap will just piss me off more.

    Any advice

not knowing what the code was, if the torque converter self destructs, it'll cost you much more that $1000 to clean out all the debris from the transmission.

Take a gamble and clear the code yourself, see if it comes back... But fnky's right, if it goes, shrapnel could end up other places that don't appreciate it much.

I did re set it and it comes back in about a week. But it is not a constent code. It goes into store. The grand was just to get to it. It will be 2300 to fix and a new tranny is 3000 so not a big diff.
I guess I will just get it fixed.

    Thanks guys
