I ran into a manual oil pressure gauge. I wanna install it in the mag, cuz she doesn't have one. Anyone done this? If so, how'd ya do it?

Nope, no EVIC. It would be nice tho.
For the record, a manual oil pressure gauge operates directly from pressure from the block. An electric pressure gauge recognizes pressure via an electronic sending unit mounted on the block.
I have a manual oil pressure gauge that I would LOVE to know where on the block I could tap it in to.

that will be a great way to have an oil leak inside your car!

Geez, try and warn somebody and look what you get. And a pretty good example of an idiotic insult as well.
Ah, the whining of the inexperienced. Sorry I warned you now.
Perhaps you are unaware that you must run a pressurized oil line into your car? Not only is this silly when you can have a highly accurate electric guage, it's also dangerous. Might want to ask yourself exactly what does this give you? Oil related failures are almost nonexistent now.
But you should do it!

Dont plan on going to the drag strip if you have any manual gauges in your car. They must be under the hood, or have an electronic gauge in the car.
Ok, steve. First, there was ABSOLUTELY zero insult directed at anyone. All I was simply implying, is that it's not rocket science to make sure all your nuts are tightened down. But, my apologies if it came off harsh.
Second, yes I'm aware that it would run a pressurized oil line into the cabin of the vehicle. Here's my situation. I lost oil pressure in my boat, and had to trouble shoot to narrow down the problem. To see if it was a faulty gauge/sending unit, I purchased an $18 sunpro manual oil pressure gauge. I screwed it into the block, fired the boat up, and it showed 38psi. So obviously I have oil pressure and need to replace my 22 year old sending unit.
Now, what to do with this $18 Sunpro pressure gauge? I don't need it any more, I'll throw it in the mag, if it can be done. But, i'm not seeing ANY where on the dash that I would like it, and i'm really not a fan of pillar pods, especially on a non-performance(2.7L) vehicle.
Goat, if my mag does make it to the drag strip, it will be sitting patiently in the parking lot while I'm watching the races from the stands.![]()

I guess electronics has come a long way in the last 20 years but I always ran mechanical oil pressure guages cus the consensis back in my hot rod days was the electronic guages were crap. I never had an oil leak from any of them.
Tinted glass, Cut front springs 1 1/4",
AirHammer HO, Duel Flowmaster 40s, De-molded,
Sonar LED Tails, Flat black honeycomb grille,
18" RT wheels & 245/45, No ESP Mod, Predator,
Innovate WB A/F guage, Ported Lower Intake.
I had an oil pressure gauge leak 1 time. Of course I hadn't done due diligence and kept the plastic pressure line away from the headers on my 440. LOL Of course that resulted in a leak under the hood, not in the cabin. That's never happened again.
Since when are manual gauges not allowed at a racetrack?
If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
