    any 2.7's on 22's?

Anyone rolling on 22's? Just wondering how the ride was, and if there are any power/other issues with the 2.7. Was looking at 255/30-22" tire size. Infact, there's a forsale thread I was looking at on here w/these, but didn't want to pull the trigger b4 I had any input.

This is my wife's car, but when I'm lucky I get to drive it. She drives 80 miles round trip to work everyday, I just don't want her complaining if I get some. 20's are nice, but man I love the 22 look. Just don't want to tear up the car. What kind of tires do you run with them?

I have 22's with 265/35/22 tires. and it's not that much of a difference as far as the ride, but my gas mileage really got bad. But as what one of the members say here, it's not about the Miles per Gallon it's the SMILES per Galon.

I have had 22's since 2004 on my 2.7 and have never had issues. still gets good gas mileage. only thing I might recommend is that you go with 265 35 22 tires, because it fits it right. if you go with the 255 tire, then you need to slam your car, otherwise it looks a little off.

The reason I mentioned the 255 is because it's 28.02" compared to 28" overall stock. A 265 is 29.30, which to me looks like it would make a big difference since the 22" wheel weighs so much more and over 1" height difference would rob power. I live in Missouri, the Ozark Mountains, and we have some big hills here. I just don't want to burn anything up or break anything. I could also do a 265/30 22, would that look a little better? It's 28.25 in height, but .43" wider. Is there ever any rubbing issues? Would 20's be better? Reguardless of 20's or 22's I'm looking at dub dirty dogs.

BTW, thanks so much. No one around here runs these cars on 20's or 22's and the tire shops don't know sqaut.

i have the 255 30 22 on my 2.7.....no problems, cant tell about the ride cause i was on air but the gas is still good for a nice daily.

    GO with 22's, once u get 20's u'll want 22's

if u want a 30 series tire go with the 265, the main reason for the 255's is for riding low(on air) and still being able to turn some.

I run 22" Dub Shorelines wrapped with Pirelli Pzero's 265/35. I'm probably going to buy Toyo Proxes or Hancooks when I get my new set (getting close), but sticking with 265/35. I couldn't tell a difference hardly at all when I put my wheels on. It still runs very smooth, and my gas mileage was not affected too much. You'll need to get your speedometer recalibrated with the new wheels though...when it looks like you're going 70, you're actually going 74-76....and it gets worse the faster you go.

I have 255/30/22 Nittos on my 22" rims. I have drove on them from Cali to Texas and back and its a daily driver. The only problem I have is that it makes a bit of a gap between the tire and the wheel well, and you will need to lower the car (bags, lowering springs). Other then that its a pretty smooth ride.

i have 22x9.5 up front with 265\35\22 and in the rear 22x10 with 295\30\22 no problems as long as you dont buy full faced tank wheels you should be fine.....
