You can add the dual exhaust...not sure of what it will sound like on a 2.7 though...or what gains you can expect...

Sadly, there just isn't much aftermarket support for the 2.7s....hell, the 3.5l are just now slowly starting to see some.

You can put nitrous on for pretty cheap. A small turbo or a centrifugal supercharger will give you pretty good gains but I don't know what's available as far as kits. If you're going forced induction though, (and here's where everyone gets pissed), it would have been cheaper to get the bigger engine.

Do you think that if I added a dual exhaust...it would ruin the gas millage?? I Know that prob. sounds like a stupid question but im in the learning process damn it : )

And im not tooo sure about adding the supercharger if they even make one yet for my model b/c wouldnt that put alot of ware and tare on the engine?

    Help me out guys!

Exhaust would always be my first choice for a performance mod. The freer flowing exhaust should give more HP and gas mileage.

The reason I say this is my choice of performance mod is because you need to get more out before you put more air/gas in.

heres what you can do...in this order (performance and handling)

    Intake
    Exhaust
    SRT8 suspension

now the deal on the pcm upgrade is this, there is only 1 route to go and thats B&G
    http://www.bgperformancepcm.com/

im guessing the gains from the pcm upgrade from B&G is about 15-20 hp + tq at 350$

with the b+g pcm you gonna need a 180 tstat.

there is also a chip on the market called the JET Chip, i would get the stage 2 but check up on the b&G pcm and jet chip working cohesively. You can find a jet chip for around 150$ (thats a deal not retail)

then if you want to go crazy

pp TB, pp heads, pp intake, headers, cam x2, Turbo , NOS

or wait till ur situation betters and trade up...u have a lot of thinking to do trust me.

ive been dreaming of a RT or SRT FOREVER !!! REAL DREAMS I TELL YOU.

I can tell you from experience that the Hotchkis sway bars will really transform the cornering and just going to the SRT8 shocks and struts coupled with some better tires, you'll be ready to attack the twisties with the best of them.

As I search and read each post, I'm growing tired of reading about how under powered the 2.7 engine is. I drive a 06 maggie with the 2.7 engine, I have no problem with power. Now I'm not going to lie other cars beat me out the block, but rarely does someone just walk off and leave me. It make me wonder how are these other guys driving their cars. Ya know just the other day I was on the 610 freeway here in Houston,Tx. I step on it, went flying passed a G35 ,the G35 speeded up to catch me them we both speeded up to 110mph -115mph. now the G35 is pulling away from me but he has to push 120mph to leave me. So I'm not totally being punked and to top it off we flew passed a Bellaire Cop ,of course you know I pulled over. Well friends my Maggie God was in full effect. He let me go with a warning ,and he smile and said 'Brother I know sometime you got to let that Hemi loose' when I told him it was the 2.7 he told me that he had clocked me at 118mph. Go maggie god go, O yes it was maggie god all the way I'm a 6'4 410 pound black man who pulled over at 2:30am in Bellaire,TX going over a 100mph and my tail light was out. He let me go and yes he was white.
