2.7l Dodge Magnum Flickering instrument cluster and headlights???

Can anyone help me out with a little annoying problem.

I have flickering headlights and dash lights when on the highway or when the torque converter is locked going up a hill. I have heard that it is just an update for dash cluster if i'm correct.... anyone got any ideas???

I had that problem, but mostly after signalling, and then it spread to wiper problems. had the multi-funciton switch changed, and had not had problems since.

I had that same problem with headlights and intruments too. I had mine battery replaced and new "drivers" for the car and no flicker after that. I still don't know which repair did the trick but they helped.

I had something like that and the dealer had my car for five days without a result. It actually started to work while it was there and haven't had the problem since.

I smile because i have no idea whats going on.

I'm having the problem now and my mechanic said that there was a tech bulletin on this saying that the computer wasn't sending the correct voltage. He said a new computer would need to be installed (a 600 buck affair). I didn't have him do it because a) I wanted a second opinion and b)my car has over 90000 miles on it and this is something that recently started so how would the computer have changed? Any thoughts?

I had a problem like this once with my Intrepid. Seems if the brightness dial was turned all the way up, it would sometimes flicker. Just by backing it off a tick or 2, no problems. Seems others had this problem too. Not saying that is your problem, but worth a shot.

I just got my car from the Chrysler dealership and they said mine just needed an update. Now it works great. I had the same issues and fluctuating speedometer. Unless you have a hitting system with no Optima battery or capacitor, that would cause dimming everywhere.
