Whats up guys?
I am trying to find out some info for a friends car. I installed the basic predator tune on it for him a couple weeks ago. Well the other day when I was riding with him I noticed it seemed to be downshifting way too much on the highway. I said something to him and he said it has been doing this since tuned. Every time he lets out of it on the highway it'll downshift, even if it is for half a second. Is this normal? This was even apparent to me in the passenger seat. Almost how my PI Vig 3600 felt locking and unlocking in my tbss on the hwy.. Was wondering if there is anyway, tune wise, I can prevent this from happening quite as much on the R/T. It's an 06 if that matters...
Hmm, not sure.
Any chance you can get a log of this and post it up here?
I bet you are feeling the MDS bump. It does feel kinda like down shifting but it's not. The bump is MDS turning off and on. You feel it now due to the reduced torque management in the Predator tunes. Try turning off MDS in the Predator tune and see if the "down shifting" goes away. If so, then for sure it's MDS.
This may sound like a dumb question but is there a way to turn off the MDS system? It can get annoying...
