Thanks. I agree, the -50 or -100 to fix the fast idle has nothing to do with the very slow rpm letdown when the foot comes off the accelerator when cruising. The original tune was slow, but with a DS tune, its even slower. I would LOVE to be able to rev the engine up and down when sitting at a light (or anytime). Not just rev up and wait 20 seconds for it to return to normal. Kinda takes away from the muscle car sound. People look at you wondering why you left your foot on the gas so long. Its embarrassing!
As for the 'police tune', I have read on one of these forums that the police tune is identical to a regular SE/SXT 3.5 tune. However, that is not confirmed. What I do know, is that I can now squawk pretty good off the line, and if I tromp on the gas at 40kph, she takes off instantly like a bat outa hell. IE, I'm happy with my Predator!![]()
Is there any software updates yet for any of these issues ?
Haven't heard of anything, been rather quiet in Predator land.
Did all of the other 4spd guys resolve their problem with the Predator working on their PCM? I haven't heard a think since I solved it for mine.??

Nope.
I have not made it to a dealership, or received an e-mail response from Diablosport on how to reset my Predator. (In all fairness, I only sent one yesterday)
I am hoping that they'll provide a fix through the Predator, but if it takes too long I will be going to the dealer to get the PCM flashed.
We are still looking into it guys...

well yeah but Q8 is asking for more power and the parts are unavailable at the moment. I want a monstrous V6 but the parts aren't here yet
After all said and done Diablosport is doing really well to at least aknowledge these issues and are trying to resolve them. I'm really happy with my Predator and hopefully the idle issue gets fixed soon, I guess my CD issue wasn't really an issue after all, lol.

Should we hold out hope for a quick fix or is this one complex ? Lowering idle RPMs alone doesn't seem to fix this. I am guessing there's not a PCM setting called something like "RPM Fade Rate"... ?
I'm holding out hope not only for a fix back to stock PCM levels but as CanadaDude said what I'm really excited about is a more muscle-car like instant drop in RPMs after the pedal is released.

When I first received my unit, I loaded the 89 tune. I used that tune for a week and then loaded the 91 tune. In both tunes I found an issue with a higher idle. At 50 mph, when the took my foot off the accelerator, the rpm remained over 1600 and pulled the vehicle along. In both tunes, if I shifted into neutral, the engine rpm increased to about 2000 rpm. The only way to slow the vehicle is by braking and the rpm slowly decreases as I brake. I did adjust the idle by -50 in both tunes. The idle when stopped and then shifting into neutral was acceptable.
I am concerned about this being a safety issue. Hope you can find a solution. BTW the power with the 91 tune is great. Thanks for building this unit.

For anyone with the slow rpm decel or "hanging" issue.
Please PM me and i will give you my e-mail so you can send me your tunes for me to check and possibly make some mods to correct the issue.
