Hey Guys
Any Halo and foglight wiring experts in the house? I have my headlight and foglight halos installed but not the first clue how to wire them? I also have HID fogs to wire as well.
Maybe the old freebird might be free for an hour or so.
Anyway if there is anyone who can help let me know and I will make it happen.
Thanks!
Ray

well the first question is how do you want them to work?

And Ray i would put them on a wireless remote switch. You can get one for about $20 on autolummination.com then just get a 10 AM inline fuse as well and you're good to go
I have mine set up this way and I know that BPS did his the same way as well along with a few other members as well.
Hmm that is a very good question. I want to be able to turn them on without the headlight's being on. So a wireless switch sounds promising. Do I need two? One for the fogs and one for headlight halo's?
I do not know where I connect for power either. I am hoping to have them all working by friday. We will see.
There is a bunch of extra wires attached to the HID fog bulb, do I need those? Pluse the 2 silver boxes. I read somewhere that those were not required for foglight HID's, but I am not sure.
here is a diagram I made for some people on wiring up halos using the remote. I've never done fogs before so I'm not sure about that but I would expect it to be the same thing. Just take the leads from the inverters and tie them all together

i guess this also helps those of us with LED halos
yeah just ignore the inverter part of it
I believe our own SCLX member Charginscott is becoming a "certified" AAC installer -- chk wiht him I am sure he can help out as well as what Ciablo has provided ..

Well If he can do it I will pay him. I have now resealed them and clamped them to let the silicone dry overnight. I come home to find the Halo 3M adhesive has let go and the led's have fallen. Arrggg what a waste of my time.
Now I have to bake the lights to get them apart again. So much for being ready for Friday. At this rate I will be lucky to be ready for June 13.
someone on a 300 forum had the same problem. ended up using some 100% clear silicon to attach them the second time around and said it worked. I used some 5 minute epoxy from loctite on my CCFL halos. you might need to rough up the surface some to get more surface area for the glue to hold on to
Yeah, I just finished up reattaching them. I will let them set for 24 hours and see how they hold up before I reseal the lights.
Thanks for the diagram. Still chinese to me though. Looks like I will have to pay someone to wire them up. Even with that help I still can't figure it.
I hope it works for you Ray. The wiring isn't hard. Basically put all the blacks together and then put all the reds together. attach the black to the ground by the fuse box and the red to positive on the fuse box. I'm sure there are some SCLX members near you that could help. I'm a little far away
I wired mine all mine to the wirless box from autolumination as well. It was a pain in the arse but I did it.
