    Sorta saw this coming but...

Tomball Dodge no longer "benefits" (for lack of a better word) SCLX??? Went in to buy the out-of-sight trailer hitch and wire harness and was informed that it was no more as of the 1st of the year. 400 bucks later it is on order but sure would have been nice to save a little (without going out of way to Katy)

could have gone through work now that I think about it - lol oh well

I'm not sure if his Magnum will fit in my parking space.

Let's just say there was a change in management in area's and the guy that basically got that ball rolling was affected a few months ago. Not naming names due to or exact situation due to it not really being my place. That is why I saw this coming.

As for tell them to keep it, if I had more time I would have. If I thought about it before work I would not have messed with dealer, nor would I have figured this out.

Thats correct management changes at this location allowed us to review this whole component of SCLX. It has been communicated for a couple months that 2010 was again no dues membership and now a donations only based model to meet our budget instead of previous "premium" membership. If a dealership wants to provide a goodwill discount to us an MOPAR enthusiasts, then that's great.

we can't force dealers to give us a discount so what do you expect us to do brian? i mean when we asked eastside members (including you) to get us a contact name at Baytown Dodge so we can try and get a discount there for members, the dealership wouldn't talk to us.

allen samuels katy is the only dealership offering discounts to sclx members.

honestly, there are plenty of online vendors like moparsupercenter where you can get the same if not better pricing.

i don't remember ever getting info about parts dealers in Baytown. if it was sent by email, there is a paper trail, just have the person forward it to us. if it was "spoken" to a member of the LT, then i don't recall it ever coming up in a conversation, but i could be wrong too.

i'm sure johnny bee will chime in on this specific topic as he is the one who negotiates with the dealers on behalf of the members.

yes - I made contact with said dealership well over a year ago, they understood the other models we had in place with other dealerships in the city and were distantly interested.

When we we began talking about actual active membership in the area versus our total registered members ..It became clear to both of us that it would be hard to convince their management to extend benefits to us. Again, in the other dealer/ member areas they see the car traffic volume from members that warrant the reciprocation of the benefits they provide.

I ( we ) are always happy to approach and reconsider when situation is right for the dealership and sclx.

See me did me part Rob.... But i do understand what JB is saying. Also I was asking for the LT input because everyone that I work with(500+)/ customers (4K+) know that I am a MOPAR head. They some times call me for any Chrysler/Dodge related things including repairs. So I help them as best as I can untill it comes to the point that the dealer needs to get involved. And I always send them to the dealers that support SCLX. Now I know that I got one less dealer.

It would have been nice as a qiuck note to SCLX that we no longer had an agreement with them. If one was put out I must have missed it.

No jason it wasnt a burn. It was a statement with out all the facts. Common mistake on the forums. Like when some one takes a joke to seriously because sarcasm it hard to type the sarcasm part.

no brian, we never put out a note about Tomball ceasing their discount option. tomball was no longer listed on the "partner" page of the sclx site as of december 2009. i'll be sure to do a better job of communicating changes in the future.
