Yes Houston is big. I know what you mean. It takes me an hour to drive to Kemah on Saturday nights, but it is so worth the drive.

I'm leaving Manhattan Kansas Thursday night and driving non stop, Friday or Saturday is cool. My flight is not until the 16th so have plenty of time to do things.
I'm doing training now prepping to deploy so I am not able to be on the forums much but Viper can get a hold of me if anything drastic changes.
I appreciate the hospitality you guys are showing me also...
Anyone know of a better hotel than laquinta to stay at for about the same rate?

Ellington Field is the closest thing we have to an Air Force base here in Houston. It is located minutes from Johnson Space Center Houston. Originally Posted by Bubba's Dragon

La Qunita, Red Roof Inn, Motel 6 are all about the same in price. There is a Red Roof Inn next door to my place and is close to FRI and Mekongs grill (all on the West side of Houston). If you want the # for the Red Roof Inn near me, send me a PM.

For a hotel, I'd take a look at what hotwire comes up with. You should be able to get a good rate on a decent hotel through them... especially if you're just looking at an area to stay in and not something more specific. Originally Posted by Bubba's Dragon

Dresser and table in room was broken and damaged; weatherstrip on door was non-existent so you could see daylight out the door - which was on the first floor and opened to the outside; we had 2 rooms - one of the rooms didn't have a lid on the toilet. Overall we were very disappointed. There are a lot of other hotels nearby - we'll try one of them next time. The area is great - on the way out of town and near tons of restaurants.

Back in Houston, met up with some guys at FRI today was cool. Saw Freebirds cars.. Nice..

It was really nice meeting you today. I am most likely not going to be able to do lunch as I am helping BPS re-install his stock hood and then taking some more parts of mine to the painters shop. You got my number BD, call me when you know for sure where yall are going to meet for lunch and I will see if I can make it.

well, my brother messed my front bumper up this morning so i am working to fix it now and the rain interrupted. i also have to work by 7 pm so how about we do 1600. my car would be fixed by that time
