    Unhappy When will they learn!!!

A day after CV posts a video of a kid's accident and what he had to go through to survive, 4 young adults were killed this morning wrapping their car around a tree just outside Montreal.

You can read the whole story here...

Firefighters from Les Cedres, Que., examine a car that hit a tree in the early morning hours on Wednesday, killing four men.

this is just so sad to see such a waste of life this way.....

I think they need to become more stricter with how they issue the drivers licences..... maybe they should up the legal age to 20 (for full licence) after passing the drivers ed classes... and also make it mandatory that a registered driver or one their own ( not with friends) only be allowed to drive with the new graduate until they have shown a clean drivers abstract for no less than 5 yrs!

I had an employee die in much the same way New Years Eve. Everyone used to tell him that he drove far too fast but he'd just laugh. About 3AM New Years Day he wrapped his Honda around a light pole. It was apparently airborn when it hit (sideways). Killed instsntly.

He was a real nice guy too.

In Virginia, thankfully we only have the signs and little to no aircraft budget.

The reason they never learn is that all kids that young feel that they are bullet proof and will live forever.

Several studies have concluded that the human mind is incapable of *fully* grasping the concept of risk and consquences until around age 25. As such, 16 is WAY too young for a full driver's license. I'd love to see learner's permits given at 16 with mandatory EXTENSIVE driver's ed training, a provisional permit given at 17 to allow someone to drive to and from work (with no passengers), and finally a full license available at age 18 or maybe even older.

My best friend in high school died exactly the same way.....They had to tow the half of the car that he was trapped in to the impound lot to cut the car from around him so that his body would be in one peice for his parents.....Dumbass was supposed to be in detention with me that day and I heard the wreck happen right outside the school. I vividly remember seeing his shoes and feet sticking out of the mangled mustang dripping blood. I still dream about it 23 years later.
