    SLP legal in Canada?

    Are they legal in canada?

I am looking to buy the SLP exhaust but some people are telling me they are way to loud & will be having problems with the cops.

Anyone in canada have this setup & if so, do you have any problems with the cops?

Sorry, can't provide you with the answer you are seeking. Just a suggestion, why don't you post this same question in the thread re; engine/intake/exhaust/performance ?

both slp systems are loud, the slp 2 should keep you clear from the cops if you aren't going WOT everywhere

There are very few jurisdictions that actually set decibel levels and I have never met a cop with a decimeter. However, once you catch their attention they will find a reason to ticket you. Haven't had a problem with my Zoomers but sure did years ago with a set of Walkers on a 5.0 HO. If you don't open it up or accelerate very quickly, you will go unnoticed. Of course who buys Zoomers to go unnoticed? haha

ya, seriously, if you buy zoomers/slp you want it to stand out....

If i don't get the exhaust then it'll probably buy the Diablo w/ C&L Cold air intake

The day after I installed my SLP II exhaust I had the dumb luck of pulling in front of a cop in line for a Tim Hortons coffee drivethrough.

I am not out to test the limits of the law so I basically idled to the road. Nothing yet though.

In Saint John they can ticket you for non-OEM exhaust if the officer feels it is to loud.. Funny how they don't bother with the Harley drivers, even the average Harley is way louder than any car could be (except open headers or cut outs of course)
Mods so far (in order): Color matched strut covers, fuse panel and washer bottle lid. Shaved rear emblems, Silverstar Ultras, Mobile1 syn. Removed air silencer, AFE stage 2, Sirius Radio, Energy 6.5 doors, Energy 10" sub, R1 drilled/slotted rotors and Quasi quiet pads .

I was given a hard time with my old truck and my Camero it had stock mufflers (burnt out though) but with headers and new pipes. I agree about the Harley thing it is BS,they were way louder than my car or truck ever was. Had no trouble with Magnum yet. Even the import beer can exhaust is louder than my Flowmaster is.

I think here they would ticket you for just being to loud.
