I just put mine on last Saturday. As soon as I see snow in the 5-day forecast, on they go. Have a safe drive in.

I don't have mine on yet either, although it's not such a huge concern. The 2 extra drive wheels certainly do help.

Haven't seen any snow here yet, so you should be fine once you get anywhere East of Guelph Line.

Just to stir it up a bit, never used snows on a rear wheel drive. I have owned and driven 15 rear wheel drives over the past number of years. If I ever did use snows, I would go with the "old" tried and true method of only putting them on the rear. Any snows I've heard on the front make a heck of a noise. Besides, living in the city, the roads are dry 98% of the time. Now, if I drove in the country, I would possibly have a different opinion.

    ...and your view, is ?????????????

Ken, I was the same as you till last year. One of the heavy snow falls of last winter, I found the Charger was all over the place. It would take me a whole green light to get through some intersections from a stop. And while on the HWY I was not sure the car was going to merge into the lane I need to go into. After the winters, it was like night and day. I do drive 30 mins on the HWY and early morning at that (before or while the plows are working) so snows are a no brainer for me.

Well Ken.... I've always used snows, and on my AWD they make a night and day difference.

Totally worth the effort and expense, if you don' have the luxury of just saying "nah, the weather's not great, I'm not going out"

Just too much evidence to support their existance:

I'm on this wagon as well snows do make a huge differance in the any bad snowy weather condition, and remember most all seasons and summer tires do harden with the cold weather as snows are meant to NOTfreeze and give you all and more traction you need for the winter months. ive always ran snows for the winter and performance tires for the summer, no all seasons for this guy right here...

Just put my new Blizzak 20s on the stock SRT rims this past Tuesday. Moved away from the Pirelli 20s this time as I found they didn't do as well in snow as I thought they would. Adam at Eastway had a great install price on the Bridgestone's (thanks pal!).

I typically leave it to December 1st and have been caught a few times but also hate wearing down the snows prior to the 1st snow fall.

As Ken mentioned.....I never used to put snows on any vehicle ever for city driving but after tying up traffic on Yonge Street for 10 minutes a few years ago when I was sideways in the Magnum on a very slight grade, I thought I would try snows and man.....HUGE difference in traction and confidence at hwy speed. Will never risk things or get stuck again.
