What the heck is it???

This bird was walking along hwy 25 north of Acton during heavy morning traffic. I jumped out with the phone to get this shot, trying not to get run over. I cropped it and this is the best I could get.

Approx 55 cm tall Long neck,crazy plumage on top of his head,white face.

I've eaten muskrat to muskox but I've never seen nothing like this before.
Is it edible??

Looked more feather than meat,I'm guessin it's an exotic bird loose from a farm.
Big bird..kinda looked like a quail on steroids!!

heh, its the long lost blurry fuzzybird! yes its edible, but it leaves a bland vague taste on your palate.

No way those thing are fugly. This thing has three or four black (white banded )feathers sticking straight up off the top of it's head.
The neck is as long as the body.....
