I just got my 2006 SRT-8 Magnum on friday and was wondering what gas everyone around here uses in their SRT? So far I've only put in 94 octane but I was wondering if this is necessary? Car is bone stock...for now.

Any 91 will do you just fine, hell you could get by running 89. Ive monitored knock with various types of fuel and noticed little to no differance. Unless you run a higher compression motor the higher octane gas is a waste. Although people will argue you get better gas mileage...

I only run Petro-Canada 94. Its all I have ever run in the car.

A true hot rodder wouldn't be content until he had created a car so violent, so hairy, so totally sick that the very act of dropping the hammer would result in instant death. Anything less results in the need to go faster.
Before the Dsp 93CAI tune, I was mostly using Shell 91 V Power which sat well with the Challenger.
Now I fill up with Petro Cda 94 & the occasional visit to Shell (4 the touchless car-wash)![]()

I mostly use Shell 91 cuz there's one by my work, or Costco 91 if I'm home and remember to make a quick run out in the evening, cuz it's cheaper than Shell 91 lol.
Now and then a tank of 94 to spank.
Here comes change....
Even in my SXT it's a 91oct diet unless it's TrackDay.. then it gets a treat of 94oct.

For those that have run 91 and 94 did you notice a difference? Whether it be mileage or performance (I know your wallet saw the difference)

I saw no differance in 91 vs 94 on the street. not sure if there would be one at the track either. If there was... were talkin hundreths of a second if that. Just have fun with it, before you know the tank is gone anyways.
Any brand of 91 octane. You won't see a thing by running 94 except a higher bill at the end.
