Tor-Red Daytona in Brampton Yet?

Hello,

I know there are a few people around here that work at the plant. If I have read the press releases right, the next Daytona is being built sometime in April?

Just wondering if production has begun, and or, has any one seen the Tor-Red at the plant? Also the GMG is a run of 200, and the Top Banana is 250. Any idea for the Tor-Red???

Well, I've been waiting and waiting to see what other colors they come out with, 'cause I really like the Daytona. If I could factory order a GoMango! one, that's probably what I'd be doing. Definitely not interested in Top Banana, and not sure about TorRed.

As far as I'm concerned the regular R/T color options are uininteresting, except maybe for the Silver Steel Metallic. But I really didn't want to go silver/gray this time.

I've been waiting since they announced TorRed back in January for more info.. but nothing.

This evening, I caught myself checking out that MazdaSpeed 6. Definitely a long way from being the same thing as a Charger... but looks like a great performer, and I like that Black Cherry mica color w/ full black (!!) or 2-tone interior, and I can order it whenever I want. Its not like black cherry mica's only available for a limited time in limited quantities, and then gone forever.

Hope Dodge gets some information out soon. I think I'd still rather end up with a Charger some time this year...but the longer there's no new info photos etc coming out...well... gives me time to consider other options.

About 2 weeks ago, I was coming home and I saw a Charger Daytona behind me. I looked up, and it had the black inlay on the hood with "HEMI" cut out of it. I didn't think nothing of it, but I swear it was red. It could have been the light, but seeing this tread, I wonder if it was a new one. Red is my favorite colour, and if I knew I had seen something brand new, I would have followed him with my camera!

I talked with him over the phone about the Top Bananas, and then saw the very first SRT8 Charger in this area on their lot when I stopped by after the dealership had closed for the day. I had told him I had an Inferno Red Heritage Edition 300C. Well, I'l slow cruisin' around the local Walmart lot yesterday, waiting on the wife to get a few groceries, and this guy pops out of the parked cars (his was a Dodge truck) and waves me down.

I lowered the window and he asked if it is me by name. I say yes, and he says "I'm so and so, the salesman from Mullen Motors. He said I was just sure that car had to be you, and I told my wife I was going to try to get your attention. Fabulous car sir! I say thank you. He gave me is business card, and we parted. Just thought it was kind of cool that he would pick the car out, and flag me down having only talked with me over the phone.

We are running Tor Red now. The next two colours will be Plum Crazy and Sub Lime. We launch a new DAytona colour every 6 months. Next colour should be out around Oct - Nov. I assume that there will be about the same numbers built of the new colours as have been built for Go Mango and Top Banana.

Today, I saw the red Charger again, and I turned into the parking lot to find out what is going on. I could not find the driver, but when I looked at the vehicle, where it said "DAYTONA" on the side, it said Charger. On the hood, the inlay was still there, with "HEMI" on both sides, but in the centre was a large ramshead. The spoiler was a little different then on the Daytona, and the seats inside were the base seats. And the front end was chrome, not blacked out. So I am going to have to wait to see a real one.

Saw two truckloads of TorRed Daytonas on the 401 on Friday. They did not have their stripes on them yet. The decals get put on somewhere else.
The Red looks sweet!! I didn't have time to take a shot with my camera or I would have loved to post it!!!
