Tires in the Greater Toronto Area.

For those who already bought the bullet, if you don't mind:
    - What did you get?
    - Where did you go?
    - What did you pay?
    - Are you satisfied?

    Thanks in advance!!!

Trading in the Stock Conti's for 20" rims and got the 20" Toyo S/T's for summer tread. Tires ran me approx. $380/tire including taxes & mounting/balancing (GST & 7% PST)

I have also, bought 255/55R18 Cooper Discovery M&S Winter tires for the stock rims so I can run in the winter. Tires ran me about $190/tire including taxes (GST & PST) but not mounting or balancing.

I deal with our local Revelstoke Tire which is a part of OK tire. I have not ran the Toyo S/T's but I have heard lots of good reports about them from friends that say the handling is great and the wear is above avg.

The Cooper Discovery M&S I have ran on my pick-up trucks and they are a great winter tire, I have not had any problems with the wear and they have held up with the conditions. I have avg. about 65,000km on the winter tires (5 seasons). The big killer for these winter tires is the soft rubber and if the roads are not snowy or icy it wears them down quite quickly.

    Hope this helps!

I should be up in a week or two, I should bring (installed) what you want and trade when I get there! Your awd must have pretty well finished the conti's! At least if you had come and played with Mark and I!

I'd like to open up my question to include snow tires as well.

    Thanks!

Not sure if this helps, but I ordered a set of Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow (235/60R18's) from Tire Rack (online). With all taxes, brokerage fees, duty, and exchange, they came to $225 each. They arrived in less than a week with no problems whatsoever. The UPS guy thought I was nuts for ordering tires from the US until I told him how much cheaper they were that way. I couldn't get them for anywhere near this price from any dealer around here (Edmonton) - some of the dealers wanted as much as $400 a tire! I can get them mounted and balanced for about $15 a tire at my local tire place.
