    Spots of grease?

    Morning Guys!

I've noticed that over the last few weeks, every time I wash my car.... I have these spots of really thick black grease all over the back end of the car. They are really difficult to remove and it takes me alot of time and hard work to get them off.

I looked high and low, changed my tire dressing, and finally found that it was coming from the exhaust. I took a white towel and stuffed it inside of the exhaust pipe, and when I pulled it out, it was covered in this black grease.

Anyone got any ideas on what it might be from and how it got there???

I'm hoping that I've gotten rid of it all, but I still would like to know whay the exhaust was filled with black grease....

I have the same thing. Only started after I changed exhaust. Do you have stock exhaust?

Yes, I have the stock exhaust.... but it's supposed to be an upgrade from the regular Charger R/T.. hence the 350hp instead of 340.

When I wiped out the inside of the exhaust pipe, the towel was covered in grease.... it looked like axel grease as it was very think and very black!

I haven't noticed it that much in the last few days, but it's been raining and I haven't had a chance to give her a good detailing, plus it's my anniversary, so I'll probably have some different detailing to do tonight! lol

You may be getting standing water in the resonators or pipes and it is being dirtied by the exhaust.

Its the break in period when all the motors run rich they leave a nasty residue. It will subside in time and after a good long run it should all burn off. My Daytona did it but we ran her twice about 4 hours each run and it stopped. Teflon
