You can totally black out the rear side windows and the rear window... as long as you have mirrors on either side of the vehicle, which we all do. I thought all across Canada (BC-manitoba it is for sure, quebec and the maritimes as well) it was a zero tint policy on the fronts due to the 'safety risk' of not being able to break the side window glass.

in ontario we are allowed to have 35% on the front windows
however it is still up to the cops discretion as he has to feel he can determine your gender by looking through the windows.
i myself have been running 20% all around for years now and never had a problem

I got dinged for tint up front in BC, on a BC sold car that to that point had never seen an Ontario plate, so it was just a matter of time.

growing up in bc, i got busted for 50% tint on the front windows even when they were rolled down.
i wasn't a fan of the police in my area. that's the way they were. my fastest ticket was 14 km/h over the limit (104 in a 90). oy!
as for here, i have 20% on the fronts on my magnum (matches the back windows basically) and have not had any issues. mind you, i've only been pulled over once in the magnum (was two days late putting the licence renewal sticker on the plate
) and the black, female OPP officer didn't harass me about the windows, or anything thing else on the car either (modded headlights, tinted tails, smoked plate covers, etc.). i was surprised to say the least. she didn't seem friendly, and yes, i figured she'd have a chip on her shoulder.
