we all know chris is the man to see whenever work is to be done on our cars. just thought i'd send the reminder out there. almost seamless install of headers, hi-flows and cat-back. i say almost as we didn't notice a missing weld on one of the headers, leading to an annoying tick. loud tick. of course, knowing how chris is, i was today to pull the header (where we found the leak) and he then patched up the header and re-installed. all before noon. i'm lovin' my car again, and can't seem to keep in out of autostick either. it's louder that way.
i also want to thank dave (token) for his help and humour on the intial install. who would've known mitts that size can fit into some of those places. of course you were doing the passenger side. your help was much appreciated.
greg (hemiwagn) needs a ton of recognition too for being a gratious host. you have a beautiful place and it's awesome how you've made it available for all of our benefit through chris. the fashion lessons are unforgettable too.
lastly, i want to thank garry (whelin) for his constant "i'm hungry" whining during my initial install. without that, i wouldn't have had such a great headache.![]()
at least he brought juno along though.

Sheldon, congrats pal!!! Christmas time is always a god time of year. How does the edelbrock setup sound? inside/outside etc... happy with it?
Stock catback, and stock drivetrain
Typing from a tablet, excuse typos.
sorry fred, missed this. i've been pretty happy with the edelbrock setup. nice deep sound. no drone at highway speeds even with mds. i bit of resonance at around 60 km/h under load (ie. up hill or something) but not bad either. it's passed the wife test. only issue was a small missed weld on the driver's header from the primary to the collector. chris fixed that up real good too. my unofficial seat-of-pants dyno feels like it's a bit stronger on the top end. pulls longer than it used to. but then, my butt's pretty lazy too so i wouldn't put too much into that. it's just not reliable.![]()
Ya Sheldon, I found your write up another thread. If its louder and passed the wife test you must be happy. Congrats bro, looking forward to hearing it.
I'm glad you're happy with it now that the leak is gone. Those headers looked pretty good, and the fit of the whole system wasn't bad at all.
