    question about installing aftermarket radio

I've got a 2007 300 touring with a stock am/fm cd player its got the amp and subwoofer 5 speaker system.I was just wondering if the speaker hook-ups are a RCA style tip or hard wired going into the radio?

    Hardwired.
It looks like 2012 will be very good indeed.
Unless the Mayans are right, then, well, never mind.

all car manufacturers since the beginning of car audio have always used vehicle specific hardwired systems..

there are several companies that make "converters" to convert the hardwired cabling to RCA style jacks, but all OEM radios will always be hardwired to the vehicle's wiring system..

I've never seen a car manufacturer use the standardized RCA style that the aftermarket radio manufacturers used, but it sure would be nice if they did..

You need the Metra CHTO-01 wiring harness. With that, you'll get RCA inputs to the car so your new head unit can have RCA outputs, and it will still use the factory amp.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
