Paint/body shop in the GTA-ish area?

    Hey gang

As some of you know, I was rear-ended on the highway back in January, and haven't had a chance to replace the rear bumper yet. I have one sitting in storage that I'd like to get painted and installed.

My question is, does anyone have a place I could go to that does great (notice I didn't say "good") work? I have a steel blue, and it's a PITA color to match. Any paint/body shop connections out there? PM is fine, if you wish to not be tossing names around for all to see.

I was also wondering if anyone knew of a place that is willing to work a deal were I to re-do the front end while I was at it? Sort of a discount for getting more done at once. If the place is willing to make it worth my while, I was thinking I might as well get the front painted while the car is there anyways. If not, then there's no point, and I might as well just re-do the front later.

Also, has anyone had a front and/or rear bumper painted? What did it cost you? I'd like to get an idea of average prices, so I know whether I'm being quoted a good price on a bigger job.

I'm now in Scarborough, but for the right place, I'm ok with travelling a bit. I just don't want to end up at a shop that botches it up, then dicks me around when I complain and want it re-done. Cuz with my mood lately, I'll end up painting someones face with my fist

    Gracias amigos,
    Dave

Dave - you could try Chipmaster in Markham on Laidlaw. McCowan/Hwy 7 area. Ron is the owner's name - (905) 294-9222.
He has painted a number of items for me and they always came out perfect and his price is usually pretty good.

I think he told The Axe that it would cost $275 to paint his bumper and that included repairing holes that were there from the previous owner not being able to line up to his trailer hitch LOL. I would think if it's just straight prep and paint, cost should be a little less.

Let him know your expectations up front and see what he says.

GT Auto Works on Manville has painted a couple bumpers and a spoiler for me on 3 different vehicles. Very pleased with the finished product and reasonable prices.

Giving this a quick bump, still curious to know what people have been paying to have front/rear bumpers painted
