It's a 57 Chevy truck. I saw it run at Brunswick,Maine. It out ran a F15 to like 350 mph. If you get a chance to see it, go! Would not stand behind it though!

Those are soooo cool to see live. When they start hitting the afterburners (the popping) it just hits you so hard right in the chest. You feel that if you're anywhere at the track. Any jet vehicle is absolutely spectacular to watch under the lights. Some tracks will even kill the lights when they run as they provide quite enough on their own.

I love it when you can see the shock diamonds in the afterburner plume.

    Thanks for clarifying that,
I see now that it is indeed a Chevy....

    Yeah that truck is amazing.

In the bad joke dept, I suppose you could say he does another kind of burnout.

Double groan!! That's as bad as last week driving home in the heavy rain from New Hampshire and seeing all those signs for "deer" crossing, I said they'd have to be reindeer!!

Yah that truck was nuts. Those afterburners put the fear into me. But when he launched it was OK. Felt the heat of the jets when he was at the end of the 1/4 mile and I was standing on the fense line at the start of the tree. He didn't go all out but was still a nice show. Def worth going to see.

That's the baby of the Shockwave fleet. The also have a conventional tractor with 3 engines. It does a lot of air shows.
