    I guess this

    is my last weekend free.My father is going in for heart surgery on thursday,lt may be a simple shunt or a triple bay pass.At 72 he has had a great life.Retired out of Chrysler with 35 years in.

    Elaine With todays treatments, medications and surgeries, it is truly amazing what is possible. I'm walking proof. My heart attack was in 1999 and I've gone through several angiograms, a couple of angioplasties (I have five stents), two bouts of atrial fibrillation, and a cardioversion (the jump start treatment) to bring my heart back into sync. ....and you and I both raced at Cayuga Friday night!! The meds are wonderful. I'm sure all will be well!! Chin up!!

    I hope everything goes ok. My father had a quadruple bypass 2 years ago when he was 69 & was back at work in about a month, so you shouldn't worry too much. The doctors will take good care of him & I hope he makes a fast recovery.

    Either way: stent or bypass graft, these things are well worked out these days. I'll bet he does well. I know this message doesn't take the fear completely away, but these are everyday things currently.
