How can you update your NAV?

There is a new subdivision over by Morningside/Finch area where most Mattamy Homes are built but it does not appear on my navigation. Always an issue when I pick my son up, he's got a ton of friends living there LOL!

How can I do an update for it?

From what I understand you have to buy a new disc and they arn't cheap....

Yes need to buy updated nav disc, about $200. If you are lucky you might find someone selling a newer version than you have. They seem to take a long time updating Canadian maps, my 06 disc did not have any of my subdivision an it had been around for 10 years prior to 06.

I heard you can download them for free and people have figured out a way to get into these units but it sounds kind of sketch

What version do you have? I have 3 versions, 2 of which I am not using and 1 of the 2 has the in-motion hack. Let me know and if it is newer than yours you can have it.

I have the newest disc and there is lots missing from the maps. I just use my iphone for the detailed maps when I'm going into new areas. That said my road has existed for 3 years and it's only just started showing up on google and bing maps.

There is a member on here, lives down south. I got the updated copy of the NAV disc for under $50. shipped. He will make himself known if you request a thread for a NAV HACK DISK. Not only is it the newest, it is hacked so you can do inputs on the fly.

do you have to upgrade versions sequentially (if you have a hacked one in the car now) or can you just jump to the latest version?

i have a AJ disk that i bought from a member to update my REC, but i think my lens is f'ed so nothing worked. if anyone would like to we can meet up, try it, and ill just ask the $30 i paid for it (shipped from the states)

i also have another AJ disk that was purchased from kijiji from a person in BC, same problem on my machine, so same deal -we can always try. -this one would be $20 since it was canadian shipping

Anyone want a copy, by all means, let me know

(EDIT: i have a pretty early model mag so the system could most definitely be acting up, apparently a common issue, so probably not the disks)
