Corsa Cat back onto a 3.5..

Okay so the deal is I tried to DIY the remove and install but hit a snag with the pipes sizes and ability to expand them so had to have it finished at the shop... So here are some of the tear down, and cutouts for the bumper aswell as a couple completed shots.. Sorry no mid install shots...

Right on Ivan that looks sweet, now to hear that 2morrow...yeah its a v8 kit but if the 3.5 pipes are 2.25 and the v8 is 2.50(correct me if i am wrong) thats not much difference in size. and if so what really is the negative drawbacks to doing this. This is the reason i have not done a exhaust yet(could have gone the dual setup and magnaflows from a RT)...

Yep .. just a pipe size and hanger issue.. RT/5.7 kit that was taken of a Charger.

The last pick shows where they addressed the pipe sizes..

As to power loss / gain not sure as I haven't dyno'd the car ever but stilll has lots of snap etc so I am more then happy with the end results..

Congrats! Looks awesome, and no doubt sounds great too. Nothing like duels out the back instead of the single. IMO that little asthetic brings us closer to the point where people take us as seriously as a HEMI.

So, what if I want duels, don't mind any power advantage, but don't want the car to be any louder? Let's say, (unless calling upon the CAI, which is controllable) I want more of a stealth vehicle, as in quiet. Can I go dual and remain quiet? (Just PM me I guess. I don't want to jack this post about Ivan's new pipes)

duals can be done and keep stock. did 3 of them at simcoe chrysler. we used the stock hemi system, and made sleeves for the down pipes to the cat-back. the sound is very much stock, but with two steam billows on a cold morning.

Yep .. I would agree, if you want duels but not the sound then a stock RT take off would be right on target for a 3.5..

Adam has the cut-outs and the two reso hangers that will be needed..

No worries about thread jack it's all related chatter

    Looks like a clean install!

If any of the V6 guys are looking for a set of the cutouts I have a pair free to a good home. I was going to black out the rear recess, but went with the CSRT diffuser.

Very cool. However, you may really want to consider getting that drivers side heat shield on the gas tank. I've heard of people taking the one off of the resonator area and putting it on the gas tank. You need something up there.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
