Canadian Motor Speedway

Hey guys, I wanted to post some information about this new proposed speedway.

I am not affiliated with this track in any way, I am only a member of the support group, i've been to their meetings, marches, rallies etc and I hope there are some other motorsport enthusiasts here who feel as strongly as I do.

Most of you probably already know about the speedway, for those who don't the website is here www.cdnmotorspeedway.com There is an oval, road course, drag strip, drift circuit, motocross, karting, snowcross, bmx, snow cross, eco park bike trails, r&d and much more.

So they have now received 2 unanimous votes of support from the town of Fort Erie and the Regional Planning committee. Now they go before Niagara Region Council. This does not make it a done deal yet - there is a lot of opposition - so now is the time to step up and come together as motorsport enthusiasts.

If you would like to see another track that we can all benefit from, in fact the entire province would benefit from then please show your support and fill out the form. I sent my support letter.

I've heard about this... and seen the info on it as well as another upcoming local track.
Everybody should send a message to the clerk though, I know it'll really go a long way to help push this forward. If they can really see the potential this facility has, it'll help sway council in their decision.

I won't mention how I have this information, but a few members already know...
I'll check into the drag strip portion though, I can't remember seeing it in there anywhere.

If you support this project and live and/or own property in Niagara Region, take a second to send a quick email to your regional councillor voicing your support. You can also cc your MPP as any Regional decisions could conceivably be appealed to the Province. The opinion of someone that can vote in the Region is typically worth 10 that can't.

put my support in, and x2 on the desire to have a track out the Durham way, this is a long trek for me, oh what a shame to have to enjoy driving my ride.

Hope it goes through. I know some of the local residents are trying to stop it. It would be great for the auto enthusiast and also for the community in respect to revenue.
