Best place to get wheels re-finished

So, I'm expecting my winter rims and tires to be here on Friday. They will be mounted and balanced, so all I have to do is take them somewhere to get them thrown on.

Once that is complete, I'd like to start looking at places that could repair / refinish the wheels off of the Jeep SRT-8.

What I would like is opinions / reviews from people that have had wheels re-done, including what you spent (if you want to make that info public)

Any and all info is appreciated.

    Thanks
    Scott

Pretty much... there is some white residue on the wheels that I can not get off... it's not pitted, it's actually raised.... tried everything I could think of.
One of the wheels has a decent piece missing from curb rash...
So basically, fix these, and re-chrome them... nothing more.

Hmmm... in that case sounds very pricey. Call Carconesautorecyling, I forget who mentioned them in one of my old threads but I researched them and heard nothing but good things as far as quality goes. ANyways give them a shout or drop by and have them look at them.

Are you sure the factory rims are chromed? I always thought the were polished on the SRT8 Jeep?

wheel wizards in Hamilton are supposed to be excellent. HOWEVER they quoted me $200 a rim for 18 inchers so theyre rather expensive I think?

I kind of figured they would be...Adam quoted me about $1,450 per rim on the front and $1,650 per rim on the back...so replacing them with OEM is out of the question!
I'll look around and see what quotes I can come up with.
    Thanks for the info!

Yup, my mistake... they are polished aluminum..not sure if this would be more expensive, or cheaper?

Ouch!... I was thinking more along the lines of $400 - $500 for the set, but then again, that is just an uneducated guess!!
Worst case scenario, I might throw a detailer some money and see what they can do with them over the winter.

I've seen reproductions on Ebay for about $1,000 US for all 4. The ones you listed below are not staggered...they are all 20x9, and I need 20x10 for the rear (at least that is what they recommend) These could certainly be an option if I can't get the OEM ones cleaned up for a decent price.

It's easier to re finish polished wheels. I've had it done before on m Trans Am WS6. I've also done it myself at my brothers detailing shop. The material used is Jewlers Rouge and a lot of buffing. It's a three to four step process and takes forever but the results are excellent. Carcone's might to polishing...give them a call.
