Is there a soloution for this?

I have noticed the scratches are getting worse in the door handles. Does anyone have any tips to repair and then prevent this from happening?

    thanks....

    Um, trim your fingernails?

My '06 Daytona doesn't have ANY scratches in the door handles. I've never had to touch them up and I don't do anything special to prevent them. I just keep the key away from the handle when I open and I use the tips of my fingers to grab the handle (habbit since the first day I bought my firts car 10 years ago).

Wow, do you or someone wear a diamond ring that's doing that? It's a fairly easy fix, if you know how to spray clearcoat. Mask it off, sand with 320-400g clean and tack it off, try your hand with a spray can of clear coat. Once it's totally cured, feather in with some 600 wet then compound by hand. Perhaps some of that clear bra material if neatly done would not show scratches?

Meguires ScratchX works great to remove them.

You know, I always thought that cutting a section of the 3M headlight protector and fitting it in there, might work.

    Thoughts from the peanut gallery?

It seems to be all manufacturers nowadays - its cheaper to use thinner and less coats of paint to cover the car.

When I posted this, I kinda felt where it was heading after reading the first reply.... but this afternoon after reading the reply from diboblo, I tried a little cut wax and it got rid of about 75% of the scratches...I am going to finish it off with the Mequires Scratch X, which I am sure will work...
    thanks for the help boys...

I am still working that suggestion in with the wife...I need more time! The scratches will definitely be in my favor. If I get one Doug, you will be the first BCLX'er to get a ride.
