quick opinion: CAI k&h versus Volant

hello folks,

i am sorry if i keep repeating same ole quesitons, i did a thread search not much came up. i need a quick opionion on volant or k&h for a CAI.

i am going to order one in a couple of days, unfortanutely the volant one doesn't have the cool chrome plated box that i really wanted but its only open for the 3.5L V6.

any opioions?

Hey Kul. I assume you have a 5.7?

If this is your first mod, you need to understand that you can expect NO performance gains from either of these intakes. We did significant testing over a year ago and showed that it wasn't until we added a cat back exhaust and headers that we started to realize increased performance over the stock air box with either of these intakes.

Now having said that, the AirHammer and the AFE Stage 2 have since been shown to have increases over the stock box on a stock system. And for what its worth, the AirHammer is made by one of our own, Rev.Hammer and it is by far the fan favorite.
